The Director of Agro Service center Gocha Beridze attended the presentation about the strategic plan of agriculture development in the Center for Civic Engagement, where the ongoing and implemented projects of Agriculture Projects Management Agency and Farm Cooperative Development Agency were presented as well. It was announced at the meeting that in the nearest future new web portal will be opened, where the price lists of agricultural products will be placed. The portal will give the farmers an opportunity to decide where to sell their products.

The representatives of Agriculture Research Center got acquainted with the current situation of Vine and Fruit Nursery of Agro Service Center. They examined the present condition of vine and fruit saplings and provided Agro Service Center specialists with the appropriate recommendations. Agro Service Center was granted with the above mentioned saplings by the Agriculture Research Center in 2013. For this reason, the organization published 70 000 piece of 13 new booklets and two new books within the frame of ENPARD Ajara project. Agro Service Center continues introduction of new crops in Mountainous Ajara and provide farmer Teimuraz Shavadze, who was granted with cultivation of blueberry demonstration plot last year with 300 blueberry saplings. Farmer plans to harvest 7-8 tons of blueberries after 4 year. Agro Service Center cultivated blueberry and walnut demonstration plots for the farmers within the frame of ENPARD Ajara program in other regions of mountainous Ajara as well, where the farmers already harvested the blueberry.

Tsetskhlauri Blueberry Nursery dried 30 Kg blueberry in Agro Service Center fruit drying mini-enterprise. “At the present, we dried only small amount of blueberry, however we plan to receive a big offer soon,” Inga Gaprindashvili, engineer-technologist of Agro Service Center said. Besides the blueberry, apple, persimmon and plum can be dried in Agro Service Center. Service price changes according to the fruit variety from 38-60 tetri. Bahco is the leading pruning instrument producer in the Belarus. Aspects of Future collaboration were discussed at the meeting by the organizations.
