The employees of Batumi Informational-Consultative Service Center visited the rose greenhouse in industrial district of Batumi. Different varieties of roses have been produced in the greenhouse, which is situated on the homestead and the approximate size of it is 400 M2. Some varieties of roses are not for realization and owner observes whether demand for them at market will be in the future.
Five-year-old greenhouse is the one way of family business and requires less financial resources. All family members have been involved in this business, which can be named as not bad way of forming the family budget. From 3000 to 6000 rose has been produced in the greenhouse a year and sold in the local market from 1 Gel to 3 Gel according to the season.
The owner of greenhouse expresses readiness for cooperation with other farmers working in the same field. He collaborates with the Ministry of Agriculture and wants to be involved in the different subprograms of the Ministry, In particular the subprogram of Ministry in regard to the support of farmers with the greenhouse constructions.
Farmer plans to increase the number of varieties of roses, as well as market area in the consequence of stability and profitability of business in the future, which is supported by the increased demand from the market.
