Agriculture development program introduced with farmers

In order to develop the demonstration projects in fruit and vegetable gardening, market-gardening and animal husbandry director of Agro Service Center Gocha Beridze and UNDP project manager Lasha Komakhidze meet the farmers in Khelvachauri. Meeting aims to determine the needs of farmers based on which the projects is to be implemented.

Above mentioned projects is to be developed within the frame of project named “Support to the agriculture development in Ajara region” by the Agro Service Center which implies co-financing minimum of 30 farmers (With 2,000.00 USD average budgets each) working in above mentioned fields till the end of current year.

Demonstration projects is to be implemented by the “Agro Service Center” within the frame of project called “Support to the agriculture development in Ajara region” financed by the UNDP, which implies using new methods in agriculture by farmers and explicit economic benefit, introduction of innovative and efficient farming, new varieties, as well as further development of projects by farmers and replication of approaches by others. It also implies development of new skills in farmers and implementation of practical assistance to them. Gocha Beridze and Lasha Komakhidze will continue meetings with farmers in other municipalities as well.
