“Agro Service Center” director and UNDP representatives meeting with farmers

Director of “Agro Service Center” Gocha Beridze and UNDP Project manager Lasha Komakhidze met with the farmers in Shuakhevi municipality. They talked about the current government programs and future perspectives of agriculture development in the region and found out the problems and needs of farmers as well.  

Determination of farmers’ needs is implemented by the “Agro Service Center” within the frame of project called “Support to the agriculture development in Ajara region” financed by the UNDP, which implies using new methods in agriculture by farmers and explicit economic benefit, introduction of innovative and efficient farming, new varieties, as well as further development of projects by farmers and replication of approaches by others. It also implies development of new skills in farmers and implementation of practical assistance to them.

“Support to the agriculture development in Ajara region” project has been started in 1th of August and will continue till the 31th of March. Within the frame of project meeting with farmers will continue and their needs will be considered while implementing the planned projects in the municipalities by the Agro Service Center.
