The employees of Khelvachauri Informational-Consultative Service Center visited farming in village Charnali
The employees of Khelvachauri Informational-consultative Service Center continue visited the farming in municipality. In this case, they visited the farming of Nodar Geladze, 1 hectare land covered by the perennials, from which biggest part is of a citrus. Farmer Geladze has orange, lemon, five varieties of Kiwifruit and several varieties of persimmon, as well as stone-fruits, seed-fruits, different varieties of walnut and nut-tree. He also produces the vegetables.
Nodar Geladze makes the grafting and producing the saplings of perennials on his own and owns the mother plants of Kiwifruit, citrus, stone-fruits and seed-fruits. He gives newly-produced saplings of his to the neighbors and all interested people with free of charge. Geladze fertilizes his land with organic and mineral fertilizers and makes the measures against pests on time. In consequence of it, the productivity and visual appearance of his plants are satisfactory.
Special attention of the Agro Service Center specialists was paid to the care of Kiwifruit saplings. According to the farmer the averege productivity for one Kiwifruit tree is 300 KL. Nodar Geladze is in farmers’ cooperative in village Charnali and plans to expand his own farming in the future.
