ADA-Funded Veterinary Clinic Opened in Gvara
Kobuleti, Gvara – N(N)JP Agroservice Centre with the support of The Center for Agribusiness and Rural Development (CARD) Foundation and Austrian Development Agency (ADA), opened a new Veterinary Clinic in Kobuleti municipality village Gvara. The facility was opened under the framework of the ADA-funded “Animal health management project in Georgia and Armenia, Phase II. The new vet clinic will provide veterinarian services, as well animal health and husbandry issues.
The official launch ceremony of the Veterinary Clinic was held on June 1st. Minister of Agriculture of Ajara, Lasha Komakhidze, Vakhtang Mshvidobadze, Program Officer in Georgia, (ADA) Director of CARD foundation and Agroservice centre director Gocha Beridze and the local community attended the event.
Vet clinic is 60 m2, total cost of construction is 49500 Gel. Vet clinic is equipped with vet pharmacy, operating room and with the work room for veterinary. To support the veterinary of the region and improve the quality of work was purchased 32 types of tools and clothes.
The clinic will strengthen local skills and help bring best practices of veterinary services as well as animal Breeding and husbandry. This is the first veterinary clinic established by N(N)JP Agroservice centre, with the support of the Center for Agribusiness and Rural Development under the ADA-funded program. The opening of the second vet clinic in Khulo, is anticipated in the following months.
