Meeting between Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University professors and citrus-growing farmers

  N(N)LE Agro Service Center organization held a meeting for Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University professors and citrus-growing farmers. The University professors consulted the farmer in  the ways of care, storage and cultivation of citrus. Meeting was held on 1st April in Chakvi nursery farm. Deputy Minister of “Agriculture of Ajara Autonomous Republic”Avtandil Meskhidze and N(N)LE Agro Service Center director Gocha Beridze attended the meeting.
   There are different types of citrus cultivation on 15-hectare area in Chakvi citrus experimental-demonstrative farm area. These are: tangerines, oranges, lemons, pomelo, grapefruit, kinkan and wild orange tree.
Modern technology of dripping irrigation system with fertilizer mixer mechanism was mounted.  The farmers’ trainings in modern technology of citrus cultivation have been periodically held.
