Green House Construction Target Usage Monitoring has commenced

The employees of Batumi informational-consultative service center have commenced monitoring the green house constructions usage purchased by farmers within the program of Ministry of Agriculture of Ajara “Support of farms development”. The specialists have got acquainted with the greenhouse constructions usage by 7 farmers in Airport and Kakhaberi district.  As they have found out 4 greenhouses have been used for production of salad leaves, strawberry and different varieties of vegetables, while the installations of other 3 greenhouses are to be done in the nearest future. The specialists have visited the greenhouse partially damaged by snow of farmer Beglar Miqeladze as well, where construction works is on its way. Farmers have been provided by consultations and recommendations regarding to the soil agricultural works and crops selection-production procedures.

The farmers have paid special attention to the positive results of greenhouses at the meeting and mentioned that greenhouse productions became the main source of income in their family budget income.  The 100 greenhouse constructions have been delivered to farmers last year within the MOA program “Support of Farms Development” and the program will continue this year as well.
