Agro Service Center consultants’ visit in village Tcharnali
The consultants of Khelvachauri informational-consultative service center observe cattle farm of farmer Rabie Miqeladze and beekeepers living in village Tcharnali. They got acquainted with current situation and gave recommendations for improvement of conditions in the farms. In total, there are 45 cows in the farm, however only 16 from them are giving milk at the present. While one cow produces 10 kilograms of milk at average, 170 kilograms of milk is produced in the farm daily. The specialists of Agro Service Center consider the above mentioned amount of milk produced in the farm too small and name impropriate food ration for cattle as the main reason for low milk capacity. There is no appropriate cattle-keeping condition in the farm as well.
As for the beekeepers, the Agro Service Center specialists found out that 5 beekeepers purchased 10 thermoplastic hives within the frame of MOA program last year. One of them who already removed bees from the old hive to the new ones mentioned that bee families seems fine in the new hives, because of which he plans to buy more thermoplastic hives this year. The new hives were purchased by farmers within the Program of the Ministry of Agriculture of Ajara. The program will continue this year as well.
