Representatives of Ministry of Agriculture visit the first harvest of tangerine

First harvest of tangerine has been received in the tangerine demonstration nursery in Chaqvi.  Unlike the local varieties trees in nursery gives harvest in September not in November.  Deputy Minister of Agriculture Davit Galigashvili, representatives of Agro Service Center and Ministry of Agriculture of Ajara along with the local farmers observed early harvest of tangerine there.  9 varieties of Japan tangerine trees are planted in the nursery and production of new saplings form mother plants is planned in 2014, after which new tangerine saplings are to be sold in affordable price to farmers.
