The employees of Batumi Informational-Consultative Service Center visited the milk processing enterprise

The employees of Batumi Informational-Consultative Service Center visited the milk processing enterprise named “Kakhaberi 2012” in the airport district. The process of milk producing has been discussed in detail at the meeting. They also talked about the complete enterprise chain of milk processing and the effective functioning of company.

According to the director of enterprise “Kakhaberi” Anzor Phasanidze 300 L of milk is processed a day by the company from which a sour milk, sour-cream, cottage cheese and other milk products are produced. Milk is bought form the local farmers daily which simplifies the process of realization for locals and reduces the transportation costs.

As it was mention at the meeting, the main priority for the Ministry of Agriculture is development of agricultural enterprises. Consequently, dairy is important direction in agriculture and various state measures regarding to the support of development of this field are planned in the future, which also will contribute to improve the economic condition of region’s population.

Preferential Agro Credit program, which has been implemented by the government of Georgia, is a good opportunity for those farmers who work in this field. Above mention program allows farmers to withdraw the quite expensive credits with the minimum interest rate, which will enable them to expand the business, buy new machinery and create new job places.
