Citrus coordination headquarters opened in Adjara

With the support of the Government of Adjara, the Ministry of Agriculture of Ajara has begun to promote tangerine realization for industrial processing. In order to organize the tangerines in the enterprises, the coordination headquarters was opened in Batumi, which was opened by the Chairman of Adjara government Zurab Pataradze and the Minister of Agriculture of Avtandil Meskhidze.

Companies that will buy 1kg tangerines for industrial processing for at least 0.20 Gel, Ministry of Agriculture of Ajara will issue a state subsidy of GEL 0.10 on 1 kg mandarine. Accordingly, the tangerine price for industrial processing will be 0.20 GEL.

In the current year, non-standard mandarins will be obtained and processed by "TCF GEORGIA" LLC and "Georgian Industrial Asset Management Group". TCF GEORGIA 'plans to receive 4,000 tons of non-standard mandarins from which the concentrated juice will be prepared. Which will be used for local markets as well as exported to Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. As for the non-standard citrus receiving-processing enterprise, "Georgian Industrial Asset Management Group", the canning factory will receive nonstandard mandarins with unlimited amounts. The citrus concentrate will be produced from which the juice will be exported to Asia and Europe. Citrus processing enterprises take on the season and concentrate 15000 tons of nonstandard mandarins.
