Meetings with farmers commenced for the aim of creating farmers’ cooperative

UNDP project manager Lasha Komakhidze introduced the importance, function and aim of farmers cooperative with farmers in the office of Agro Service Center. He opened the meeting with the question “how must the cooperative solve problems which farmers face while working in the same field?

As it turned out farmers have nebulous idea of the aim of farmers cooperative, due to this UNDP project manager explained the importance of cooperatives and shared the experience of leading countries regarding to the subject.

Above mentioned meetings organized by the specialists of Informational-Consultative Service Center are held within the frame of UNDP project and is aiming to determine the needs and problems of farmers. After that those who express willingness to solve problems in cooperation with others and work in farmers’ cooperative are selected and finely project established by them regarding to the agribusiness development is to be financed by the UNDP.
